The Literary Locator is now open to online submissions. Writers can nominate their own published work or the works of others to be included on the Literary Locator map. Please read the FAQ below for guidelines.

How can I submit work to the Literary Locator?
Beginning January 1, 2014, submissions of previously published online work can be made through an online form available here. Submissions are free.
What kind of work can I submit?
You may submit works of poetry, fiction, or nonfiction that focus on a specific place, or in which place is a significant element of the work.
How many works can I submit?
You may submit as many pieces as you like, as long as they follow our guidelines and you use a separate submission form for each piece.
Can I submit work from my blog or self-published website?
No. At this time, priority will be given to works published by third-party online publishers such as literary magazines, journals, etc.
Can I nominate works in the public domain?
I submitted work to Poecology. Do I need to submit it to the Literary Locator too?
No. All place-based work accepted for publication in Poecology will be added to the Literary Locator.
How long does it take submitted works to appear on the Literary Locator?
It may take up to 4 weeks for your work to appear on the Literary Locator. Please do not query. Due to the volume of requests, we will do our best to accommodate all submissions. However, submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be read.
