Submissions
Guidelines:
We are now accepting submissions for Issue 3, Summer 2013.
- Submit online for free through Submittable. We no longer read submissions by email.
- In one document, include up to 10 pages of unpublished poetry, fiction, or nonfiction. Please also include a short bio in the separate box on the Submissions page.
- Submitted work should focus on ecological, environmental, or place-based themes. These themes can be treated directly or abstractly.
- Submissions are accepted year-round; if you miss the submission deadline for the current year’s issue, your work will still be considered for next year’s publication.
- Experimental work, international writers, and marginalized perspectives are highly encouraged.
- Label your attachment with your full name and genre (Example: Roberta_Flack_Poetry.doc).
- Simultaneous submissions are ok, but please email us if your work is accepted elsewhere.
- Please wait for a reply before submitting again.
- If your work is chosen for publication, we ask for first electronic serial rights. All rights revert to the author(s) after publication.
- Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer compensation for published work.
To keep the current of conversation flowing, our response time is usually six to eight weeks, though it may take us longer. If you have not received a response after three months, feel free to contact us.

Best Wishes,
The Editorial Team at Poecology
